PBS LearningMedia for Students is a teacher-managed environment that allows students of any age to create their own learning experiences by engaging directly with innovative, curriculum-targeted content. From project-based learning to flipped lesson plans, PBS LearningMedia for Students invites a unique opportunity for students to take control of their own learning.
Students 13 or older can create their own Storyboards to demonstrate their mastery of curriculum concepts, bringing their digital projects to life through video, images, and text.
Using the Lesson Builder tool available on the Teacher site, Teachers can assign lesson and quizzes to students by generating a simple URL to share, or by generating an assignment code that students can easily input into the student site to find their assigned work.
For students who need more time or deeper engagement with a subject, self-paced lessons are a valuable instructional tool, allowing students to pause, ask questions, and interact with content at their own pace. Students can even revist the content at home, giving them even more time to gain critical understanding on a topic.
Starting a storyboard and hoping to save it for future use? PBS LearningMedia for Students allows students to create safe accounts with PBS LearningMedia by generating unique usersnames, without sharing any personally identifiable information like email addresses.
PBS LearningMedia helps to create learners instead of test takers. The resources provided will ensure students are life-long learners.
